All About Breast Friends Forever of Champaign County
Breast Friends Forever of Champaign County provides a supportive environment and information to everyone and anyone who needs it. Since 2013, our one-of-a-kind Cancer Support Network is composed of a welcoming and experienced community with individuals who are ready to listen, share advice, and offer whatever they can to help.
We are proud to be a reliable source of comfort, compassion, and understanding. Our goal is to help one another by assisting in resolving problems that may interfere with the treatment process, financial aid to those that may need it during their treatment process, and offering additional resources.
In Fall of 2022 we began serving Madison County, Ohio as well. We are excited to become partners with various groups, companies, and people to support the people of Madison County with breast related issues.

We are a 501(c) 3 organization where donations are tax deductible.
Faith Statement
We are called to serve our neighbors. Philippians 2:1-4 (ESV), “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” We will be ambassadors for Jesus in the way we honor those who are at risk for breast cancer. We will meet the needs of our fellow community members by attending to their needs beginning with prayer and following through either with monetary assistance or a service that needs to be provided.

Proclamation from Mayor Bill Bean Whereas founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor, Janelle Hail, the National Breast Cancer Foundation was formed to educate, support and encourage men and women to seek not only early detection options, but also to teach the importance of getting involved through local organizations; and whereas what began in our community 25 years ago as an annual gathering of breast cancer survivors, enjoying "Fashions to a Tea" with family and friends, is now an official 501(c)3 - "Breast Friends Forever of Champaign County" is a diverse team of dedicated individuals, who embrace a common theme; and whereas this focused group of devoted members are true to their mission as they "... educate, empower, encourage, and embrace people who reside or work in Champaign or Madison County Ohio that are at risk for breast cancer and provide services to breast cancer patients in need." NOW, THEREFORE, I, Bill Bean, Mayor of the City of Urbana, Ohio do hereby support the ongoing efforts in proclaiming the month of October 2022 as "Breast Cancer Awareness Month".
